What we collect

SwipeStream requires no account and no registration. We store the following data to operate the service:

• Room configuration (platforms, content type, room name) — deleted after 7 days of inactivity
• User names you enter when joining a room
• Your swipe choices within a room session
• A random user ID stored in your browser's local storage to remember your session

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous analytics (page views, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out by enabling a browser-level do-not-track signal or using an ad blocker.

Cookies & local storage

We use local storage (not cookies) to remember your session inside a room. No cross-site tracking is performed. PostHog may set a cookie to distinguish unique visitors.

Third parties

Movie and series metadata is sourced from third-party providers. No personal data is shared with them. Streaming links may include affiliate tags (e.g. Amazon affiliate) that benefit SwipeStream at no cost to you.

Your rights

Since we collect no personal accounts, there is nothing to delete beyond your local storage entry. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools.
